Can I renew my books over the Web?
Does the Library accept credit cards?
Yes, the Library accepts MasterCard or Visa to pay for fines, lost books, document delivery, etc.
Does the Library have lockers?
Yes, there are lockers in the library building. Pleae contact the
Circulation Desk for more information.
Does the Library have textbooks?
As a policy, the library does not purchase textbooks. However, there may be books that are considered significant contributions to the discipline. So, please search the
Library's Catalog to be certain.
How long can I have materials checked out?
It depends. Most circulating books, including government documents may be borrowed for 21-28 days, depending on patron status. See

I would like to get a book or journal article that is not available at the Consortium Library. Can the Library get it for me?
Yes. The Consortium Library has an
Interlibrary Loan Department that borrows materials (books, conference proceedings, dissertations, journal articles, etc.) from other libraries. This service is free to UAA and APU faculty, staff, and students and, for a fee, to Guest Card holders. Request forms are available at the Consortium Library. They can also be faxed (786-1608) or emailed. To send us an ILL request electronically, use the
Interlibrary Loan Form Web page.
Is there a Lost and Found department in the Library?
Yes, the Circulation Desk, at the entrance to the Library, is our Lost and Found area.
Is there an outside book drop?
Consortium Library outside book drops are located in the Learning Resource Center in the
Sally Monserud Building (west campus), between the entrances of the parking garage and the
Social Sciences Building, and at the South Entrance of the Library building.
