OMER L. CAREY AND DEAN F. OLSON. Papers; 1978-1987. 1.65 cu. ft.

Omer L. Carey was a professor of finance in the School of Business and Public Administration at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Dean F. Olson was a professor of business in the School of Business and Public Administration at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Olson also served as a small business consultant, and as President of the MACON Company. Professors Carey and Olson co-authored articles and books on small business finance. Two of their books were published: Financial Tools for Small Businesses (1983), and Opportunity Management: Strategic Planning for Small Businesses (1985).

The collection consists of papers relating to Omer Carey and Dean Olson's collaboration on the writing and publication of articles and books on small business finance. Included are resumes of Omer Carey and Dean Olson; correspondence concerning the publication of their book manuscripts; and manuscripts, publications, and related papers concerning the writing and publication of their articles and books. The archives also holds the Omer L. Carey Collection, which includes other publications by Omer Carey.

The collection was presented to the archives by Omer L. Carey and Dean F. Olson in 1984. Other materials were added occasionally through 1997.
