"MILL" PLUM. World War II Photograph Album; 1942-1944. .2 cu. ft.
Technical Sergeant "Mill" Plum served in the Aleutians in 1943-1944, most likely as part of a Coast Artillery antiaircraft battalion.
The collection consists of 138 black and white prints taken from Mill Plum's photograph album, a xerographic copy of the album, and the album covers. The photographs that date from 1942 are primarily of his family and friends, but also include a few from Camp Haan, California. The majority of photographs were taken while Sergeant Plum was stationed in the Aleutians from September 1943 to October 1944. Subjects of the images include housing, equipment, and many of soldiers at work and in leisure moments as well.
This collection was acquired by the archives in 2003.
