A. G. Kirby worked in the mining industry and was involved with evaluating mines and potential mine locations.
This collection consists of a letter from A. G. Kirby to Samuel W. Ehrich of New York, a report written by Edward H. Nutter, and a black and white photograph of A. G. Kirby. The letter, written in November 1909, is intended to bring the Hurrah Quartz Mine to Mr. Ehrich's attention as a potential investor. The report, written in November 1908, concerns the Hurrah Quartz Mine on the Seward Peninsula and describes existing improvements to the mining property and the potential of the ore and development issues.
This collection was presented to the archives by the Calaveras County Historical Society in 2003.
