The collection consists of pages and partial pages from a family photographs album from 1921. There are 22 original black and white prints and two photograph clippings from a magazine. All of the prints were taken around Chickaloon, Alaska, and the U. S. government coal mine that operated there. Specific subjects include: the town of Chickaloon; Chickaloon Coal Mine (staff, engineers, coal tipple, prospect tunnel, railroad, and coal outcroppings), fur trappers, the Chickaloon River, Castle Mountain, and King Mountain.
The collection was acquired by the archives in 2007.
