WALTER D. BRADSHAW. World War II Aleutian Scrapbook; 1942-1943. .25 cu. ft.

Walter D. Bradshaw is from Newton, Kansas. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army on the Aleutians islands of Umnak and Attu. His wife worked in a library during the war and compiled clippings of newspaper and magazine articles and photographs concerning the war in the Aleutians and Alaska. Walter Bradshaw, who owns a print shop, later sold copies of the resultant scrapbook.

The collection consists of a large format copy of a World War II era scrapbook of clippings concerning the war in the Aleutian Islands and Alaska. The scrapbook is 85 pages in length, containing primarily black and white copies, along with a few color copies. All but a very few of the clippings in the scrapbook exclude the source and date of the article or photograph.

The collection was presented to the archives by Albert F. King in 2007.
