Collection summary: Scrapbooks of a couple’s road trip on the Alaska Highway in the summer of 1955.

Biographical note:
William and Emma Vogelin travelled across North Dakota, Montana, and through Canada to reach the ALCAN Highway in Dawson Creek in the summer of 1955. They drove on to Fairbanks, Alaska. The couple was in their mid-50s during the time of the trip and drove a 1953 Chrysler Imperial.

Collection description:
The collection contains three scrapbooks, which includes photographs, post cards, correspondence, and Emma Vogelin’s handwritten account of the couple’s trip.

Arrangement: The collection is arranged in the order it arrived at the Archives.
