Kathy Murray, MLS
Kathy is the HSIS manager. She received her undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Washington and her Masters in Library Science from the same university. Kathy moved to Alaska to join the staff in November of 1996.

Sally Bremner
Sally is our medical reference librarian. She received her undergraduate degree in Zoology and her Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Western Ontario. Sally joined the HSIS staff in February 2003.

Sally's primary responsibilities include:
- literature searching: medical, business, health administration, current news items, and more
- monthly literature searches (AutoAlerts) available upon request
- in-depth reference service
- online databases/internet/library instruction
- monthly newsletters
- orientation to library services
Dawn Harrison
Dawn is our library assistant working 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. She joined the library staff January 28, 2008 and was promoted to this position on July 7, 2008.

Dawn's primary responsibilities include:
- receptionist
- finance (invoicing and deposit accounts)
- general reference assistance
- requests for copies of articles
- managing the various library databases
- tracking use statistics
Jim Hill
Jim is our part-time interlibrary loan specialist. He joined the library staff in 1980. His prior work was in the USAF for 22 years before retirement.

Jim's primary responsibilities include:
- filling/forwarding interlibrary loans requested by Loansome Doc users
- requesting articles/books from other libraries via DOCLINE or the OCLC online interlibrary loan systems
- filling interlibrary loans requested by other libraries
- pulling requests for articles from in-house collections
- assisting other HSIS staff in any way possible
Susana Gallardo
Susana is our library clerk working. She started July 21, 2008.

- filling requests for copies of articles
- providing table of contents service
- sending journals to the bindery
