Administrative history:
The 1972 “Self-Study Report for Accreditation” was compiled under Eugene Short, Dean of Anchorage Community College and prepared for the Commission on Higher Schools Northwest Association of Secondary and Higher Schools.

The “Evaluation Committee Report” was compiled over a three day period in April 1979 by an evaluation team representing the Commission on Higher Schools of the Northwest Association of Secondary and Higher Schools. The committee provided an on-campus evaluation of the community college’s operation.

In 1979, the Anchorage Community College Self-Study Steering Committee compiled an “Accreditation Self-Study,” which was overseen by Dr. Donna H. Broderick, Dean, Transfer Studies Resource Person for the Committee.

Series description:
The collection contains “Self-Study Report for Accreditation” dated 1972, “Evaluation Committee Report, Anchorage Community College” compiled from April 25-27, 1979, and the 1979 “Accreditation Self-Study.”

Custodial history: The collection arrived with the Miriam Carlson papers in 2000. These accreditation publications were separated from the Carlson papers and added to University Records in 2015.
